Head in the clouds

I don’t even know why I didn’t get a longer lens before. I had the habit to grab a wide lens to shoot a nice sky, but often it’s a let down. It’s hard to compose with a wide angle, and often it’s a lazy option, as you don’t decide what is beautiful in the sky you are looking at, you avoid choosing. Details in the clouds require longer lenses, so I’m happy to have pulled the plug on an expensive but great lens for this kind of photo. It gives a totally different feeling, it requires to think more about the framing, as well as a tripod of course. But it’s great to learn something new and to have more possibilities. Great purchase ! Should I try a mirror 500mm lens now ? 🙂
